Watching Thor: the second time
Tonight I watched Thor for the second time, oh yeah! It was even better the second time, probably because I haven't seen it since it came out in May. Trust me I wanted to go to it in theaters more than once but you know how life gets. Anyway, though, I love that story. The entire subject of Norse mythology is awesome. I remember as a kid I was obsessed with Greek and Roman mythology and didn't really know much about Thor and the other Norse Gods, but now my interest has been piqued. It was really a visually astonishing movie with a great story to boot. As you may well know this movie version of Thor is based off of the Marvel Comics Thor which is based off of the Norwegian mythological thunder god. Since the movie came out I have realized some differences between Marvel's Thor and the usual depiction of ancient Norse mythology. Originally, Thor had a huge beard and reddish brown hair, I believe, but that's not as important to me as keeping with the original story. That may have something to do with the fact that I myself am a blond haired blue eyed dude like the movie version of Thor, but that is not the only reason. No, I also liked that they kept with more of the relationship between the people of Asgard and the Frost Giants. In case you haven't seen the movie I don't want to go into detail, so I'll just highly recommend seeing this movie. It's still at red box, at least that's where we got it from tonight. The cast is great, the visuals are great, and it has everything from heart pounding action to heart breaking romance. But not too much of that romance stuff. I had to write that because I felt a little weird after writing the words, "heart breaking romance." Any-hoo, It's a great movie and if you're following a long I may write more about Thor in the future and may also make some videos about him. In fact I have made some videos related to Thor on my youtube home workout channel. If you want you can check them out at http://www.jakeshomeworkouts.com/thor-workout/ Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day.
